This afternoon, nervously, Kristi and I decided to help Lily quit her pacifier habit cold turkey. She has always been an excellent sleeper and anyone who has taken care of her knows the importance of the 'pas' ritual as she goes down for her 'ni-night'. Hopefully the replacement of the pacifier with Kristi's childhood angel doll will help lessen the sting... fingers crossed.

Clearly she is tougher than we think, but she sure looked sad. And got everything out of those last few sucks. Hope ni night goes as well as her nap.

Great idea and a great video! Lily definitely watched longingly until the end, but seemed pretty ok with things. What a big girl! (Kristi, did you get attacked by a raccoon?)
Goodness what a big girl..watching her precious treasures drift away..wasn't easy for Gramma to watch but I'll bet she'll surprise us all and move on with a problem
And so how did she do at nap and night time the last 24 hours?? Big girl.... :)
I am sad for Lily but I know it was the right thing to do.Your goodbye ritual was pretty creative too!
