We would like to introduce the fashionably early Gabrielle Irene Farrell, born on Saturday morning October 16, 2010 at 11:30 AM. She weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and is 19.5 inches long. Thankfully mom and baby are both happy and healthy and back at home!
Dad inspects his handiwork while the doctors and nurses take care of the post-birth business.
Mom remembers how nice it is to snuggle with something cute and tiny.
Lily has been quite adorable in her role as big sister. Her little eyebrows furrow in worry at each squeak or cry Gabrielle makes. We are trying to remember to be gentle and not hug too hard, but these are advanced 'big sister' skills and Lily is still a rookie.
Being fashionably early does have its downsides... (5 weeks early) Gabrielle will be spending the next several days here at home on the 'blue light bed' to help with her bilirubin levels. Dad thinks she looks like she's photocopying her butt...
As luck would have it, Mike's parents were both in town for a visit over the last several days. So while mom and dad were busy at Evergreen hospital, Lily hung out with her 'Gaga' and 'DanDad'. Here's a cute shot of Ed with the 'spawn of his spawn' or whatever he likes to call his grandchildren.

Wow... Congratulations!!! BOTH of your children are beautiful! What a wonderful family you have. Kristi, when you get a chance and are feeling up to it, give me a call. I would love to talk to you in person. Don't worry though, I know first hand how hard it can be to find some time with two little ones around! Again, congratulations! We would love to come out and see you all sometime- it's totally ok to invite ourselves over, right :)
