Food

Now that our little girl is reasonably good at sitting up in the high chair she joins us for most meals, happily sampling whatever we're having for dinner. Well... Mostly happily sampling...

Here are a few memorable clips:

Incidentally peas are now one of her favorites... Who knew?

You might be tempted to think Lily is speaking her first word in this clip. For about five days now all we have been getting all day is 'dada' this and 'dada' that. Kristi suggests that Lily is just making sounds. I however think she is either directly talking to me or at least thinking about her dada.

I know all too well the mental scarring that can occur from being forced to eat gross foods at an early age. It's amazing I turned out so well-adjusted.

Is it possible that the peas are actually deadening her tongue, and thereby hindering the development of such anxiously awaited words? Notice there's no shortage of commentary where cherry pie is concerned. Food for thought (ahah).
COULD SHE BE ANY CUTER!!!!

"I was just following orders" from the authorities (Mike). (Is she going to accept that drivel?)

'Dada' is her word for 'gimme'. As you progress through fatherhood, you learn this again and again.
